Hello again. Happy New Year. A lot going on. New babies from last year are doing super! Ice has had some outstanding offspring. I'm eager to show them off in the near future at the shows.

Been busy at school, playing with my friends and becoming an expert at Halo and Rock Band.

Hanso Hattori will begin working this year. He is a true black suri herdsire. He got 2nd place at AOBA Nationals in 2007 and then tons of blue ribbons when I showed him in the fall. I like him a lot! He's pictured to the right.

Take care,

Charlie

Hello everyone. I am sorry I have not updated in awhile.

Mom has been getting on me to do it but I am having too much fun doing other stuff.

Anyway, school has started and I am playing soccer. I still help out with the cria and new babies. We have more halter training to do soon. My herd of suri alpacas has grown well. I have had a good run on female cria.

Time to sell some they say so we have put up a new package of suri females. These girls are good moms and some are going to shows with me this fall.

I will be going to a few fairs and shows this fall with some of my suri offspring. I am eager to see how they do. Dad says some are really nice and should do well. I just hope they have a good time.

We had a great summer. I took my Pokemon cards to the top of Mt. Washington and we went fishing a lot. We did some history stuff. That's me and Pete in Philadelphia at Independence Hall.

I'm at Mt. Ararat Middle School in Topsham now. Bus comes earlier but I get home earlier too so that's cool.

See you at the show's this fall,

Charlie Lavan

Hello. It's finally summer! I have recently graduated from Bowdoin Central School - 5th grade.

I just attended camp. I had a great time. I recommend it to anyone who likes nature and the outdoors. Last year I did Firearm Hunter Safety and this year I did Bow Hunter Safety. I loved it! Besides the bowhunting rules, we learned when and when not to shot, all about tree stands and the ethics of hunting. We also went canoeing and kayaking. It's a great camp for kids - http://www.meconservationschool.org.

We just did baby weights and de-worming on the cria born so far this year. I have had 2 suri female and 2 suri males born. Peter has had 1 Huacaya male named Winged Dragon of Ra (Yu-Go-Oh character). He will show this fall and the last 3 shows of the year. Mom and Dad have more.

Today is Aladar's birthday. He is one year. It's nice and cool today so we are doing outside chores and going fishing this afternoon.

Have a great day!

Charlie

Hello. Happy New Year!

It's been a cold winter up here but the suirs are doing well. Even the cria are out enjoying the snow!

I am happy to get my show suri alpacas going. I will begin halter training them in a few days when it is a bit warmer. They are all weaned and look nice. I especially like my black male, Hanso Hattori. He is really shiny and silky. I can't wait to show him. I think he will do very well. The photo on the right is on a sunny day last week. Esme, my Corgi is on patrol with Aladar, our Kommondor pup. He has a dirty face in the photo. He likes to eat snow. He and Esme are best friends. She likes to herd the alpacas and he protects them. They are funny to watch when they play.

Charlie

Hello.

I am on vacation now visiting my grandparents but my Mom is helping me update my website. We have added some of our new cria. Yes, more girls. Thank you Ace's Up. He likes to have female offspring. Check out the new listings. Some are moms with their babies at side like Ditto and Regina pictured on the right.

Have a great summer!

Hello.

I've had 3 new cria so far this spring. 3 wonderful boys who Dad says will do well in the showring. I expect another round soon.

I went to an auction with mom and have a new girl coming to live with us. She is bred but we want to wait more before we bring her home. She is a very shinny girl who is named Luster Lady and she is bred to a red brown male so we expect color. I like her a lot.

Professor Winkle Bottoms and Sweet Sugar may become parents soon. We'll let you know.

Charlie

Well...our last suri cria was born today. She's already at the farm for a re-breeding so she wasn't born in Maine but PA. We have been sent some lovely photos of her and have named her Xterra's Bodera, Mom is Xterra. She sure is cute and we can't wait for mom to re-breed (hopefully one breeding) so we can get her home to hug her ourselves!

We have had a great year in production. 8 of 9 cria born this year were females so that's always a nice thing when growing a herd. We have a nice group to show this spring. Mom says they are well grown. Freckle is already over 80lbs and just 5 months of age!

Thanks for your support this year and Happy everything this season!

We had another female suri born yesterday from Raining Pennies and Our Accoyo Ricardo (2P Santiago and 2P Uribe lines). She's doing very well and we are excited since she's our 7th female out of 8 so far born this year! We still have one more female due and she's at a farm in PA already to breed back to a male we have selected when the time comes.

She's pictured right, Richard Made Cents. We'll call her "Cents" for short. She's very shinny and cute and already loves to eat!

See ya,

Charlie

I wanted to tell you about the new male we have purchased who we hope to use as a herdsire on the farm next year sometime. He is a full Peruvian fawn who has won numerous blue ribbons and Reserve Champs to date and we will show him next spring and fall before his breeding time starts.

His name is Orbit the Full Moon and he is a Royal Damasco grandson with lots of color in his background. His mom has produced numerous Champ winners so we are very eager to see his offspring and what he can do based on what his parents have done.

I have a photo of him with some of his ribbons on.

Had to update the sales pages a bit with new cria being born and Dad and I looking them over now that they are growing up some. I like these babies and look forward to them showing next spring.

School started. Petey started Kindergarten. He can only work on the farm as my assistant weekends and after school Mom said. I'm in 4th grade this year and like my teacher, Mrs. Aronson.

I had another baby born this am. She is a fawn from a good mom so we are happy.

Ace's Up keeps producing top quality female offspring. We are very excited for him and for us.

We still have another crop of offspring due this fall so keep checking with us on our  new cria. We expect a nice grouping from some of these top quality females my dad, Tim Lavan, an AOBA Halter, Fleece and Performance Judge and Judge Trainer helped me pick out.

Thanks for stopping by,

Charlie

With my dad, Tim at Discovery Cove, Florida this past summer.
